From September 24 to 27, 2024, KIEPE Switzerland will be presenting a groundbreaking innovation at InnoTrans in Hall 2.2 at Stand 250 (SwissRail joint stand): the bidirectional 50 kVA converter for power supply from the overhead line.
The main features of the converter are:
• Power generation from 15 kV overhead lines: The converter enables efficient use of traction current.
• For temporary use along the route, e.g. during construction work for charging various devices or battery locomotives.
• Feeding energy back into the overhead line: e.g. photovoltaic energy can be fed back into the railway line.
• Easy connection of decentralized energy generation systems: The converter makes connection and use easier.
