New project for Braunschweig: KIEPE technology on board

During InnoTrans, Braunschweiger Verkehrs-GmbH and PESA Bydgoszcz S.A. signed the contract for 12 new low-floor trams for Braunschweig.

KIEPE will contribute key electrical and onboard systems to the new vehicles, including traction, vehicle control, auxiliary power as well as passenger information, communication and driver cab systems.

For us, this project also continues a long-standing connection with Braunschweig. KIEPE technology is already in operation in existing generations of the city’s tram fleet. Now, our systems will also be part of its next generation of vehicles.

The first new trams are scheduled to enter passenger service from 2030.
