Maintenance Contract for the Light Rail Vehicles in Gmunden
Starting in 2015, Stadler Valencia and KIEPE jointly delivered modern low-floor articulated light rail vehicles of the Tramlink type to the Upper Austrian transport company Stern & Hafferl.
Since then, eleven five-car, six-axle bidirectional vehicles, each offering space for 183 passengers, have been operating on the Vorchdorf-Gmunden and Vöcklamarkt-Attersee lines.
As part of the delivery package, a 16-year maintenance contract with an extension option was signed. Since then, Stadler Valencia and KIEPE Electric's Austrian branch have been performing all preventive and corrective maintenance tasks. Currently, the mandatory main inspection, required every eight years, is being carried out. Additional responsibilities include the on-time delivery of spare parts, the organization of repairs, and obsolescence management.
Thanks to the close collaboration between Stern & Hafferl, Stadler Valencia, and KIEPE, high fleet availability is ensured.
