XXL Plus for Leipzig: Production of the New Trams Secured

An important milestone has been reached for the future of mobility in Leipzig: With PESA Bydgoszcz S.A.’s investment in HeiterBlick GmbH, production of the new XXL Plus trams can continue.

Together with HeiterBlick, PESA, and Leipziger Verkehrsbetriebe, KIEPE is working to bring this significant public transit project to life. KIEPE is supplying the electrical equipment for the new vehicles and helping to bring modern, reliable, and energy-efficient mobility to the rails.

The new XXL Plus trams will modernize Leipzig’s fleet, create additional capacity to accommodate rising passenger numbers, and further improve accessible mobility. With a vehicle length of 45 meters, they offer significantly more space and comfort for passengers.
