Semi-automatic Current Collector System KSC 200 for In Motion Charging (IMC) and trolley buses
With its compact and optimized design, the new Kiepe Smart CurrentCollector offers more installation space below the poles compared to existing current collector systems. The available space can be used for installing additional components, such as traction batteries. The new KSC 200 allows for both purely vertical wiring operations and lateral wiring, which eases the workload for the driving personnel.
Thanks to the plug-and-play approach, the KSC can be integrated into both new vehicles and existing vehicles as part of a modernization project.
The improved control of the poles also enables optimized and rapid lowering behavior in the event of a derailment.
Optional configurations such as headlights or a camera system for monitoring the current collector from the driver’s seat simplify the operation for drivers and maintenance personnel.
The integrated sensors of the KSC support maintenance work by automatically detecting, locating, and diagnosing faults.
