Flexity Tramcar M33

The tramcars of the type M33 have been adapted to the infrastructure and the environmental conditions in Gothenburg. The tramcars are delivered in several variants; the first ones are three-part, uni- or bidirectional vehicles. The multifunctional areas in the vehicles are intended for wheelchairs, walking frames and prams.

The reliable and innovative electrical equipment in the vehicles have been supplied by Kiepe Electric. Kiepe Electric has supplied e.g. the complete traction equipment and the vehicle control devices. Together with the bogies from Bombardier this electrical equipment ensures smooth and comfortable journeys. 

The traction motors are liquid-cooled. An advantage of the vehicles is the recovery of the motor heat for the heating of the passenger compartment, which is environment-friendly and reduces the energy consumption of the vehicles and thus their life cycle costs.
