
Light Rail Vehicle TW3000
üstra Hannoversche Verkehrsbetriebe AG has placed an order of 50 (plus 96 optional) light rail vehicles TW3000 to a consortium consisting of Kiepe Electric as the consortium leader and Alstom.
The 25 metre long bidirectional vehicle has two motor bogies and one trailer bogie, eight doors and a state-of-the-art passenger information system. Moreover, CCTV, outside cameras instead of mirrors and ambient color lighting are integrated. The driver’s cab and the passenger areas are air conditioned.
These light rail vehicles are equipped with traction, on-board power supply and train control and management system from Kiepe Electric and thus with reliable and state-of-the-art electrical equipment. The trams are adapted especially to the infrastructure and the characteristics of the city of Hanover and its region and fulfil the special needs of the existing infrastructure and the increasing requirements for mobility, passenger comfort and safety.
